As I am so use to seeing Leicester architecture on a daily bases, I forget to appreciate the art form around me. When we went out to take these pictures we really had to search in deep for old, new and different buildings. We had to search harder for this as it was very difficult to find different buildings since we are so use to walking past the architecture in Leicester as we see it everyday and we have only seen Leicester to be very boring with unimaginative architecture, unlike the ones we saw in Birmingham. This doesn't mean that all the buildings appealed to me.
Some of them I found to be very boring and aesthetically unpleasant as they were all of the same colour and looked to be wearing down. The windows were broken down and the bricks had unpleasant spraying of paint and just looked very wearied down and dirty. For example we found a run down mill on gipsy lane which had broken windows and dirty brick and very dull and boring colour of browns and grey.
However some of them are slowly but surely improving for example the once plain buildings on melton roads are now brightly painted into brilliant colours of pink, yellow, blue and reds, making it appear to be more futuristic and has an overall improvement. Also some of the restuarants near Rushey Mead have different levels so in a photo they look much more exciting than every other buildings next to them.

ANALYSING 3 MELTON RD PHOTOS
I took this photo from a 'worm eye view' so I am lying or crouching down on the floor, changing the position of this photo. This makes the building in front to be much more towering and dominating the whole scene, which makes it look much more powerful than it actually is. Making the audience look powerless and more inferior than the building itself, giving it the child parent view. I also captured this image on an angle which gives the image a three dimension look which makes it more interesting and much different to the every other bricked buildings we see in Leicester. The light that was used here was just the natural lighting and because it was November it was very dark and the sun wasn't out so to make it as bright as possible I used a wide aperture to take this photo which was initially in a lower level of light. Also this image fills in the frame as it is central focal point this means that we can not see the background so the audience's attention is fully on the building. This picture has been taken on a vertical angle to make sure that it fills as much of the frame as possible. We know after looking at this picture that the texture of the bricks would be very rough and dry and very coarse due to the unevenness of the bricks. Also we can see the light reflecting off of the windows and bouncing back.
Here we can see uniformed houses in leading line which make the audience follow the direction of the houses, which is a straight line. This makes the image very interesting as we follow the leading lines to see the image at the end of the photo. I have used a slower shutter speed to catch the motion of the light and capture the movement of the car so that we can see the direction that the car is going to. Also this photo has been taken at a different angle as it is not just horizontally or vertically but rather is at a tilt which again makes this picture much more interesting. In this photo the trees look very sharp and in focus however the buildings at the end of the photo look quiet blurry and out of focus. The light in the image is quiet low due to it being winter and the lack of sunlight therefore I have used a wider aperture (lower f-stop number) to capture a brighter image. The colours used in this photo are very dull white and grey therefore the yellow beam of light slightly off centre in this photo stands out the most. Also I have captured this image with my own level so I am neither superior nor inferior to it. This image looks to be very isolated as we do not see anybody in sight and only see the car which is also leaving the photo which can add an emotional element to the photo as it can make the audience feel sorry or have some kind of effect on the people.
In this picture the most significant feature is the vibrant colours which complement each other very well and symbolises a rainbow which gives the picture a positive vibe/feeling to it. Also I have used a lower f-stop number (aperture) to capture an image with a blurry background, this can make the photo more interesting and alluring. The building is much higher than the audience looking at the image which can then make the audience feel much more smaller and more inferior than the buildings them self, to do this I have used a worm eye view. The colours of the houses hugely contrast the dull grey of the sky and the uniformed brick reds of the other buildings surrounding it which makes these buildings stand out and feel much more special. We can also see the reflection of the trees on the window and also the light bouncing back.
